Well, Cyd is packing her bags and moving to London at the end of the month!  Curtis will be staying in New Orleans, but they will keep working together via the wonders of modern technology.

Curtis just self-published a book, Sh#t Into Gold: A Reclamation Project using found pornographic images from the Internet and is hoping his project is picked up by a publisher.

After a year and a half hiatus from acting, Cyd has decided to start auditioning again, thanks to the encouragement of receiving unexpected checks from the rerun of a couple of commercials she did long, long ago.

October 7, 2008

After a moment of inspiration last week, Cyd wrote The Last Great Cathouse, a short screenplay about a woman who goes to some very extreme measures to find homes for her many cats before she (and the cats) find themselves living on the street.

In addition to revisions on Pink Pussycat, Curtis and Cyd are busy at work on their new project, The Ice Cream Wars of Maricopa County.

Cyd has found a new calling due to her participation in the 48-Hour Film Project --wedding officiant!  Cyd offered her courtyard to the lovely Lacy and Raven, whom she met on set, to have their wedding ceremony.  But why stop there? So she was ordained in the Universal Life Church and just completed her application with the State of Louisiana to perform the ceremony!  So, if anyone wants to get married in Louisiana...

Who We Are

Curtis has been an artist for over twenty-five years, doing both fine art and graphic arts, working under the name Mayan Eye Graphics.  He began his writing career approximately six years ago with his first feature length screenplay, Our Lady of the Pink Pussycat, which he and Cyd co-authored.  The script finished in the top three out of 1,700 scripts in the 2006 Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition (Comedy Category).  To read more about Curtis and his creative projects, click here.

Cyd first got involved in film and theater as an actor.  After a stint in several low budget horror films (Voodoo Tailz, BloodFeast 2: All You Can Eat) and her most memorable role in The Badge, she discovered she enjoyed writing as much as writing.  For the past two years her day job has been as a medical writer/editor for a large regional hospital, but now that she's moving to London she will be doing freelance writing projects.  To read more about Cyd and her writing, click here.

This writing duo finished Toomey and Idabelle, the story of two 11-year-old loners in a small Texas-Louisiana border town in the early 60s who find solace in each other's company and their unique hobbies.

Cyd also finished a feature script entitled The Shortage with her other writing partner, Dale Oliverio.  It is the futuristic story of a mother’s desperate struggle to save her unborn daughter in a society deeply rooted in female infanticide.
