Dos Casas Productions  

Dos Casas Productions began fifteen years ago when Cyd and Curtis first met in Nebraska.  Since then they have been friends, and for the past six years, creative partners. 

They began their writing partnership with their first feature length screenplay, Our Lady of the Pink Pussycat, which was recently optioned by Shanna's Studios. The script finished in the top three out of 1,700 scripts in the 2006 Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition (Comedy Category). 

Cyd and Curtis have a number of finished plays and screenplays written both independently and collaboratively.  Curtis is based in New Orleans, Cyd in London, but they continue to work collaboratively via the wonders of modern technology.

Currently Keeping Us Busy... 

Curtis and Cyd are currently working on three feature comedy scripts, and hope to wrap up all three by the end of 2010. 

Producer Shanna Forrestall is hard at work securing financing for Our Lady of the Pink Pussycat and hoping that pre-production will this year.

Cyd's one-woman play Still Life at the Sushi Bar is moving to the West End in London!  The show will be performed again at Leicester Square Theatre on Feb 11, 18-20, & 25-27 at 9:30 p.m.  Starring the lovely and amazingly talented Laura Pradelska, Still Life received a FIVE STAR rating from Remote Goat!  Check out the review here -- Still Life is called "An acting, writing, and directing triumph!"

Cyd has also begun rehearsals on a new show, On the Permanence of Fugitive Colours.  A series of her one-act plays, the show will be performed at The Hen and Chickens Theatre.  To find out more check out the website or to purchase tickets go to the Hen and Chickens wesite.

Curtis has started on a new project as well.  A conceptual photography exhibit, he will use only his iPhone camera and the basic photo editing software on his computer to create a series of art photographs. “We’ve reached an ultimate level in ‘do it yourself’ and I want to explore that with this project,” says Curtis.  Check back for location and dates of exhibit.

Cyd Casados 

Cyd first got involved in film and theater as an actor.  After a stint in several low budget horror films, she discovered she enjoyed writing more than acting.  Cyd made her writing debut in New Orleans with her one-woman show, Still Life at the Sushi Bar, which was called a “convincing, entertaining, balanced piece of writing” by the Times Picayune.

Cyd received her M.A. in Communications from Georgia State University and her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Curtis Casados

Curtis has been an artist for over twenty-five years, doing both fine art and graphic arts, working under the name Mayan Eye Graphics. In addition to painting, he’s done artwork for several bands, including CD covers for the award-winning New Orleans Jazz Vipers and jazz guitarist David Mooney.  He’s currently working on a novel, a collection of short stories, and a postcard book.
